I have a live recording of a Counting Crows song called The Greening of America. It is of such crappy quality that attempts to put it on a CD lead to the playing of screeching and wailing noises instead of music. I finally converted it, and it will now play on CD but it still sounds dreadful. M was disappointed, too, because he also really likes it, and CC songs that he really likes are few and far between. However! I was whining to myself just now about how I wish I had a better copy of it, so I asked Google about it, and lo, there was an answer! I do heart Google.

It's in a Wholesomeaudio post! It's the same show as the version I have--apparently that's the only time they ever played it and I really cannot imagine why. It's perfect. It's brilliant. It's also probably the most quoted CC song that I've used in titles over the last few years (as above.) Go listen to it. It's most probably my favoritest song ever so it makes me pretty happy.

Hey! Here is a comment from something that is now over two months old! I assume you get comment emails though, so maybe you'll see it.

Do you, by any chance, still have this song? (The Greening of America, by Counting Crows?) It's apparently one of the files that got corrupted during my recent computer troubles, and so now I am very sad. :) I was pretty excited about putting the stupid thing on my newly updated playlist, and now it plays half of the song and then restarts. The songs are no longer on the server I linked to, it seems, but I thought there was a theoretical chance you might be able to help me out.

Crap. Thanks for trying, though. I've emailed the guy but I don't really expect a response. I never, ever email people over their sites, though, so it was a phenomenal effort for me! ;)
