Thank you. :) There's a commercial that I really love. A nice, quiet street with Victorian-style houses, birds singing, sun shining, and the announcer saying that on Sept. 11, 2001, terrorists tried to change our lives forever. Screen fades out and comes back with American flags waving on all the porches and lawns and the voice says, "Well, they succeeded."
I keep thinking that the people who died didn't choose to be heroes. No one asked them if it was okay, and that's what makes the loss so tragic. But if we can take something away from it, then at least it wouldn't have been in vain. I'll freely admit that as a country, we have serious problems.. but I think that the this sense of community loving spirit will help make progress towards fixing those problems.
But then again, I'm a hopeless optimist. Thanks for replying, and hugs to you too!
