I had to just now do the math for it since you asked, but I'm glad you did because I hadn't really figured out how much leave I'll have, and people have been asking. (I knew the theory, but not what it worked out to.) It's actually better than I thought. If I don't use a single hour of leave between now and May (which is oh-so-unlikely, especially considering that I've already scheduled one dr appt for January and will have more) I will have almost six weeks of paid time off. I'll count it as five weeks, though, to account for sick days, etc, and if Ducky is early, then I may not have all of that anyway. (That's counting what I would accrue through May, so it's questionable.) After that, I have twelve weeks of unpaid FMLA time. If I used it all, that would bring me into September (again, if Ducky isn't very early.) I don't know how flexible they actually are or how long I could realistically be gone, but that's the maximum amount guaranteed by law, etc etc, and I haven't really put a whole lot of thought into what our plans actually are yet. That's what I have to work with, though, as I understand it.
