I think they do it so you will come into the store. Then they probably hope you buy more stuff than the free stuff. Then they might also hope you will not submit the receipt. They also get good PR for it and advertising for those products. Although I tend to get things for really cheap there, I AM spending a lot more money there than I would have been had they not beemn doing this. Actually, M and I used to make fun of people who shop at drugstores because they are really sky-high on prices on basically everything.. except the right stuff.
I just got back from an exceptionally good run. Evie is playing with my loot as we speak!
