visit update

same_skyIf you don't let your baby nap, and run wild playing outside with her boyfriend friend all day after two nights of restless sleep.. turns out that she will fall asleep without raising a fuss. Excellent! She is... not easy with the sleep, sometimes. Carrie and Mike will back me up on that, I think.
The Possums and the Yayers have been having fun for two days now and we have somehow not really had any time to post about our madcap adventures. There may be some big changes in our futures, though. Carrie is now 100% committed to me. I don't know where that leaves Mike. Or M. Really, I'm not sure what it means for the two of us, either, but there you have it. Also, M is supposed to go play with his wood out in the yard. It has been an interesting two days, to say the least.
Yesterday, it was all rainy and gloomy so we stuck close to home and worked on a crafty project involving Swiper the Fox. There are photos for documentation purposes, but I haven't transferred any of them yet. We're not quite done yet anyway. Today, M was home (yay!) so we went out for lunch and then headed to a bourbon distillery, but didn't end up taking the tour, so we headed up to the game farm for their Halloween walk with the animals thingie. That was... well, it was a lot more crowded than I expected, and basically all of the children except ours were in costume (who knew?) but it was cute. I wish we could have been a little more relaxed on seeing the animals and wandering around, though.
Oh, and yes, of course we are gossiping about you all. Wish there was more drama out in LJ-land at the moment for our entertainment purposes. Actual conversation that took place yesterday:

K: It's so much fun when you meet someone new and you really like them!

And while that is true and all, it is not that exciting. So, would someone please go out and do something drunk and naked so we can talk about you? Post pictures if you can. Thanks.
We did have one little bit of badness last night when we were playing with the Wii. The boys played a round of bowling, and just as Carrie and I got started, she accidentally hit Evelyn in the face with the remote in her hand. She didn't mean to, of course, but Evie was pretty upset by the whole thing and there were many many tears. There's a little bit of a red place today but no bruising and she is not upset with C about it, either, so all's well that ends well. I think Carrie and I wanted to cry with her though. She is quite tough about getting hurt so I am not used to her hurt cries, really.
Anyway. I think we should probably head back to the living room and see if they're finished putting Erik to bed and continue with teh fun weekend. And if they're not, then I should fold laundry or we really can't go to bed tonight. Having fun, wish you were here.

OH and I swear I'm going to try to get on a plane in Dec to fly to NC to visit with DH's family. He's got a sister in DC that lives just 10 minutes away from the Possums. I think we're going to try to drive up for a visit sometime after Christmas and before New Years - that'd be so great if we could coordinate a little get together with them and then if you guys drove up and we could all hang out.... SQUEEE! X^D Just a thought!

Well I got together with my whole little family for my folks 40th wedding anniversary tonight and we ALL got drunk. Well okay, the toddlers were sober if you don't count the cake sugar high. ;^) I *might* do something naked later tonight with DH but I'm pretty sure there won't be any camera's involved. Sorry!
