Sunday night
We had a bit of a scare this afternoon. I'm always complaining about never hearing anything, but that worked in my favor today because I didn't hear the original really scary news, just the milder scary news. To make a long story shorter (I really have a tendency to draw these things out, sorry about that), my cousin Angie was in a wreck. Thankfully, her kids were at home with their dad, and she had gone to town for some reason. Some guy pulled out in front of her. He was banged up a little, and his two passengers--at least one of which was a child--were perfectly okay. Angie, it turns out, is fine, but it was scary for a while. They were talking head trauma, being thrown through the windshield and unusual vital signs. We made it to the ER just before they came out and said that her CAT scan was fine. Apparently, she wasn't thrown through the windshield, just cracked it with her head. So what started off as looking really bad (blood pressure too low to register, unresponsive pupils and an unconscious and bloody Ang) has turned out happily-ever-after. Well, I'm sure she's in pain, but she's at home already, so nothing that can't be lived with. And as soon as she gets better, you can believe she'll be in trouble for not having her seat belt on!

Happy to hear she's on the mend!!
Now seriously, how can one not wear a seatbelt these days? Suppose it's not unlike condom excuses...

Thanks for the well wishes, though. :)
