Scene from our household tonight:
We all went outside and picked up sticks from the yard. She had lots of fun. Unfortunately, all sticks apparently belong to Daddy, and she can't quite pronounce the "st" sound so she was actually walking around our yard yelling "Daddy dick! Daddy dick! ... Wood! Daddy dick!" Good thing our neighbors weren't paying attention.
Anyway, M is wheeling Evelyn to the front yard in the wheelbarrow and we are discussing what good parents we are because riding in a wheelbarrow after playing at yard work is just totally what kids are supposed to get to do.
As if on cue, she looks up at us and topples out of the wheelbarrow*.
We're not good parents. We are AWESOME parents.
*She was fine.
