An Easter in Pictures
I told myself that I would do dishes today while Evelyn takes a nap but so far it hasn't happened. Surprise, surprise! I also told myself I would post last night before I went to bed but we all see how that turned out, don't we? I am just so behind on everything. I needed to do pictures last night but then I fell asleep in my chair and M sent me to bed. Ahh well. It happens, right?
Now, for some Easterage. Evelyn had a wonderful time at Easter. I mean, it was really and truly something she loved. Being outside, picking up eggs, carrying around a basket, attention from big people, playing with the other kids--what's not to love?! These pictures are a little larger than usual (clicked the wrong box when I uploaded them and there's no way I'm going to sit here and fix them ) so I'll put them all behind the cut.
I kind of hate taking pictures at my parents house because they live in house with quite a bit of land, but there are trailers on both sides of them and it's impossible to keep them out of the pictures. Trailers are practical living spaces, sure, but they are not exactly beautiful.

I made pretty eggs this year. My niece did most of the rest of the dying because I was too busy with these. They were fun!

Looking for eggs...

Evelyn finding a really well-hidden egg.

Sweet sweet baby girl.

I love this picture because it shows just how HAPPY the whole thing made her.

Evelyn found a flower for her mommy. :) I'm not sure what kind of face she's making at me though. ;)
And that concludes the Easter festivities. While I am posting pictures, though, I would like to add one more that I am really ashamed at how long it has taken me to post. I received a fun little package from
britishcowgirl recently, and it contained an adorable apron that she had made. Evelyn declared it to be hers immediately. She takes all the good stuff! ;)

Thank you again! Sorry it took me so long to post this though. :)

I replied to this comment not long after you asked, and I really put effort into it, too, because I was nursing E to sleep and I had one hand pecking out letters on a keyboard in the dark and it took me forever... and then I clicked post and it disappeared and I was so sad, but I couldn't bear to start over so I thought I'd do it later and then I never did until just a minute ago I saw a picture of the eggs again and thought of this comment and how I was supposed to say something. Soo.. that's why it's two weeks later.
Anyway, they were easy. You pretty much just take concentrated dye and (wearing gloves!) put a few drops on the egg and roll them around in your gloved hands until you're happy with how they turn out. I thought it was a lot of fun but it was pretty fiddly and when we got them out of the fridge the next day, they were sticky and runny. I guess there was condensation in the fridge and it reactivated the dyes... I don't know. I'm not sure it's worth the effort, now that I think about it.
