Strangest Thing I Have Said Today All Week: "This book I am reading? If there isn't some steamy hot werewolf sex happening soon, I am going to be so pissed."

Other than an apparent desire for supernatural porn, there is nothing much going on here this week. I am feeling a decided lack of oomph, probably related to the cold that Evelyn so generously has decided to share with me. I'm not feeling that terrible yet but I haven't had much focus. I have washed and folded and put away a mountain of laundry, which I think should count for something. It probably doesn't.

My parents did one last camping hurrah this past weekend, and unfortunately, the weather turned dismal. We still had a pretty good time but it was cold and rainy and generally, I was wishing they'd gone two weekends earlier. Evelyn had fun though.

I am proud of myself because I actually made myself go through a month of pictures and upload and caption just to post that picture. I can actually cross something off my to-do list! I was motivated enough on Monday to rewrite my to-do list and add some stuff to it, just not motivated enough to follow through. I don't rely as much on my to-do list as I used to. It kind of annoys me but I can never remember to keep it updated.

I guess I'll get back to seeing whether there's hot werewolf sex happening. The book is one in a series by Laurell K. Hamilton, about a vampire hunter called Anita Blake. (Anyone read them?) I am generally not into this sort of novel but my cousin has talked about them for years and finally brought me a bag of books a couple of months ago and said, "Read these, I'll lend you the rest of them when you're done." I had a really hard time getting into the first one, and actually put it aside for awhile and read other stuff after I started it. I'd have never finished it at all if not for knowing that my cousin would be disappointed. It got better--it was just too much introduction of new weirdo things all at once. They're pretty good... somewhat unbelievable but entertaining. I am just currently really mad at her for dumping the werewolf in favor of the vampire..if that tells you anything at all about the book..hehe. (I am also concerned about how many people she kills, but that isn't bothering me as bad as the lack of werewolf nookie.)

Bet you didn't expect to read that, huh?

Did you get any Werewolf sx? You should try Patricia Briggs Alpha and Omega series if you want werewolf sex. Though it doesn't sound like that is too much your thing, really. I haven't read the Anita Blake books. Not too into vampires, I guess.

So far, nothing, but I'm that far into this one. I just now flipped ahead and there WILL be some werewolf loving so I am content. It is not particularly that I have a thing for werewolves, just that I think he is more awesome than the vampire. And... I don't know. I would recommend that you read them but I'm thinking there's a good chance you might not like them. I think (a little less than halfway through the series of like eighteen books or so) that on my rating scale, it is at "will read all future novels in series but will likely never reread any of them though will probably make an effort to pick up copies at a yard sale just in case" level. That's comparatively high on the scale for me.

I was just about to say when posting this that I don't really like the vampire thing... but I did quite love Anne Rice and a couple of other vampirey books that I've read, so I guess it's not entirely true. The undead is not my focus, at least. ;)
