All three of us came home from our long weekend at my parents with a cold. It started with E (of course) but she loves to share things like that, so it didn't take long for it to spread to her dear parents. Yesterday, I was completely miserable but I'm feeling much better today. Still sorta sick but expecting a full recovery. ;)

We had our second yard sale of the season this weekend, and it went..okay. It was not as good as I had hoped, but we closed early on Friday and we closed REALLY early on Saturday (around noon!) We got rained out the first day and had a sorta miserable time running around putting things up, so when the weather started looking rainy on Saturday, we got kind of scared. :) It didn't end up raining, but we were all tired anyway so it worked out fine. We're low on Stuff anyway.

Monday, Evie came running up to me and said, "Mommy! I dreamed about a scary pig! It was eating you in your bed!" I asked her what she did when that happened and she said, "I smacked it and it went away!" So, I thanked her for saving me and did not tell her that it was incredibly creepy that she was dreaming about a pig eating her dear mama. More questioning revealed strange details that I think she was making up as she went along, but apparently the pig came back later and it was nice.

Here's a question for you AmeriSwede types. My sis-in-law-ish mentioned the health insurance/emergency document aspect of our upcoming trip to Sweden. We're taking a minor that does not belong to us. If something happens while we're there and she needs medical care, will we need anything to show that we are responsible for her? What about health insurance? Honestly, we've never really done anything regarding that in the past, but.. well, she asked and I didn't have any answers.

Dinosaur Train is the stupidest thing on television.

I just agreed to play Playdoh so I guess I should go do that. I don't mind Playdoh but I have been trying to talk her out of it this week because it just seems..unhygenic.. to play with that when one is sick. She does not care about this sort of reasoning, of course. She rarely cares about reasoning in general, I've found. :)

Ha! We love Dinosaur Train around here! You really think it's stupid? I just think whoever thought of putting dinosaurs and trains in the same show really knew what they were doing. Plus, it has Real Science, or close enough for my taste. :)

You know what new show I hate? Chuggington. (I would link, but...eh.) The trains are assholes. Same goes for Thomas. I can't stand those shows.

Anders likes Dinosaur Train but doesn't get much chance to watch it since it's on mid-day sometime. I appreciate that they bring up the whole vegetarian, omnivore thing in a way that explains it without tipping them off that they are eating what was once a real, live animal, whereas I am not. I really don't need Anders to suddenly decide he won't eat chicken nuggets (especially if the reasoning has anything to do with the fact that I don't).
