Like this: http://sewmanyquiltstoolittletime.blogspot.com/2011/01/qayg-blocks-tutorial.htmlgrain_damaged posted about it back in January, which is what got me started on it. You quilt the block as you sew it, so each block is backing, batting, and then a bunch of strips of fabric...so when you're done, you're done with the quilting of that part too. At the end, you attach the blocks with a strip of fabric between them, but at one point, you're sewing through two whole blocks plus a folded piece of joining fabric, so eight layers. I wouldn't necessarily be worrying about the machine not handling it if not for Jenn mentioning that her machine didn't like it. It's fun because nothing matches and yet.. it still goes together. I like it because I really like the old style of quilts that my grandmothers and great-grandmothers made using whatever fabric they had around the house.
I will keep that in mind re the fusible batting, for future projects should there be any. :)
A Furby is a small electronic furry toy that demands you take care of it constantly and play with it and stuff. They look kinda like a creepy wingless owl.
I really have to go find something to force-feed my kid because she has turned into a serious grump this afternoon. Let's just hope it helps!
