That's a really fun idea! It makes me think of some cardtable forts that I've seen, like: http://homemadebyjill.blogspot.com/2009/10/felt-playhouse.html here. I have an extra table in the sunroom that I could dedicate for this purpose... hmmm! Love the white Christmas lights idea too. She would *LOVE* that part. She has this little metal-framed house (http://www.amazon.com/Hasbro-Playskool-Dream-Petal-Cottage/dp/B000OV79VI) but it takes up SO much space and she's really too big for it by now, which allows her to really do things with it that she shouldn't. :) (She likes to flip it upside down and turn it into a pool that she can climb in, for example...hehe.) Maybe if I made her fancy house she'd let me put that one away. Well... she wouldn't, but it's a nice thought. :)
