(no subject)

I've been meaning to post this for a couple of days now and haven't gotten around to it. I was so amused by this the other night. Magnus was supposed to stop at the grocery store to pick up some hamburger buns. This is what he came home with--and why men shouldn't shop alone.

Lots of pop.

Where am I supposed to put all this pop?! That's one thirsty man I'm married to.. You should have seen his stockpiles of Julmust when it was in season. That's another thing I think is incredibly silly. Seasonal beverages. I just don't get it.

There was almost a lot of excitement today, but it sort of fizzled out. My parents almost bought a fruit market. Dad had been talking to the guy about it a few months ago, but nothing ever happened with it. The guy that owns it didn't really want to be bothered with it, as he had a day job (building houses). Anyway, Dad stopped in today and the guy offered to sell it to him for 35% of the price he was originally asking, if the woman who worked there didn't want to buy it. They'd decided to take it, but when they met the owner later in the day, the woman had bought it. Soo. I was almost employed today. ;) I was already trying to think up ways to convince them that they couldn't run a fruit market without broadband! Oh, well. My dad really should open a restaraunt, anyway, instead of a fruit market. I told him the other day that he ought to get going with opening one because he's not getting any younger.. rofl. I'm such a considerate daughter. :)

Anyway, so I had lunch with them at La Finca's, which was slightly bad of me because I had leftovers in the fridge. Oh, well. I spent part of the afternoon working on a mail to [livejournal.com profile] paradisecowgirl in Swedish. She's very mean because she wouldn't let me have [livejournal.com profile] totte proofread it before I sent it. I hate being not good at something. But I like her anyway because I can fix her html problems, which makes me feel smart, so it equals out.. *tease* ;)

So I haven't been nearly as productive as yesterday, but I did work on one of my goals, so I'm not doing too bad. I might even get things organized for my php learning. Or I'll go take a nap. I'm suddenly really sleepy.

If I can't take a nap, neither can you! Besides, I don't see what's wrong with buying some pop when we're almost out and all. Someone I know recently bought $50 worth of string even though she already had more than five years supply worth! *stare*

But we weren't almost out! :) And the string situation was entirely different!

It would have been funnier, of course, if you had forgotten the buns. *grin*

LMAO! You guys just kick ass! You are so perfect. *huggles you both*

Awww. Thank you! *shmoos* :)

Hmmm, I agree about not letting men shop alone! My ex once went to the hardware store for some grout to repair the tiles in the laundry. He came home hours later, with $2,000 worth of Tasmanian Oak wood panelling, varnish, wooden battens etc and NO GROUT.

I have to laught at the whole Julmust (and let's not forget the Påskmust!) thing. It's just the same old "must" they sell all year, guys! And as for "Jul Öl".....

I venture a guess that this is why he's an ex? *tease* Given this new information, in retrospect, $30 worth of pop isn't such a big deal... at least he bought the hamburger buns! :)

I still think Julmust tastes like grape cough syrup. Ewww.

GAHHH!! Is that Ale-8 I see?! I SOOOOO badly miss it. *whine* And I hadn't even thought about it in a long time until now so :P you suck!!! ;) Oh well. Going to Wal-Mart now. For 3 ring binders. Not for me this time, but for hubby. Weird. He's re-doing all the filing at work, and they're all horribly impressed with him for it. LOL!!! Neat to think he's as organized-oriented as I am.
