Assorted daily ramblings.
I finally updated my Tatty Blog after three months. Yay! Really need to spend more time tatting. I miss it. I don't even have a reason not to, other than that I'm spending all my free time online. ;) There's a goal for me. Not like it'll help.. I still haven't made an Amazon order yet, and that was my goal for last Wednesday. Really should do that, though.. with my procrastinating, I'll fool around and miss the deadline and lose my $30 rebate. That would suck.
My cousin Brad was at the ER last night with an extreme headache. He's had a few of them in the last week or so, which is disturbing. They did a MRI and a spinal test thing and it all came back clear, which is a relief. They said it was probably related to the wreck he had last weekend. He's never really had headaches before, though, so it's a little worrying. Hopefully, they'll clear up on their own, though. *fret*
I got really excited at lunchtime when I came home to see a package on the porch. We're waiting on the camera to arrive, and I ran up the steps (unable to believe that they'd actually leave a camera sitting on someone's porch all day long but still bouncy about it being there). Except.. it wasn't. Turned out to be belonging to someone else, which I decided was the girl who lives at the end of the row, just across from us and down. I looked for her a few times this evening to pull in, but then finally we decided to just take it over and leave it with whoever was there. We've nodded at them a few times, but never really spoken after living here for two years. Anyway. Magnus took it over.. and was gone for two hours gabbing with the guy. *laugh* Unbelievably, we apparently have some normal neighbors! When one lives for the excitement of your neighbors resorting to physical violence, this is a big deal. It seems we actually have quite a bit in common, even. For one thing, he has an IT degree and is currently selling mortgages or something. I can relate, as I'm peddling produce. *grin* And FoodTV, which is always an excellent thing to have in common. And a variety of other things.. it's rather nice to have some normal people in the vicinity. ;)
Also, I'm itching like crazy. It feels like I have mosquito bites all over. I guess I might have been bitten by little bugs when I went out to check on the peppers (read: spy on Magnus and the neighbor talking on the porch). Anyway, it's rather time for bed now.. I was so sleepy this morning, and I don't see staying up late again tonight as the best way to feel more awake tomorrow. ;) Night night. Oh, and hiya to
stephbairey. ;)

I finally have time to post and read and reply again. Kinda nice, but I miss the distractions of having family around. Unfortunately, a young member of said company once again has head lice. *shudder* She seems to be one of those types that just is prone to them, and constantly has them, though they do everything in their power to prevent it (her mom is a nurse even, so I know they're not just being icky about it) but despite all that, she still gets them. I think maybe they're just not going away to begin with...ya know, miss one little nit, get 100 more a week later, kind of thing. Anyways, gota shut up now cos my head is doing that psychological itchy thing. I've been around her many times when she had them and have never gotten them before. Even slept in her bed, used same brushes, etc. All the no-no's, and yet they seem to be strictly hers if that's possible. Not even anyone in her household gets them but her.
Ack, anyways, where was I going with this? Oh yea, I just miss them that's all. I like my solitude though. Guess I'll have issues when I have kids, eh? "Go the hell away, mommy needs some alone-time!!" LOL!

I've never (knock on wood) had lice, but the idea is enough to give me the creeps. I actually didn't even get them the one time the rest of my family got them, which was a relief. Too much hair to worry about. Luckily, my itchies were gone the next morning, leaving small little bumps in a few of the locations. Argh, now it's back (although all in my head now.) ;)
