Silly girls who shop online.

For some reason, M laughed at me earlier. We bought a spindle of 50 CDs in pretty jewel tones during the after-Thanksgiving sales. Since I thought they were pretty, they became mine to keep on my desk and use. I opened them tonight to look at the colors and was absurdly disappointed to see that all of the colors were stacked together. Boring! So I unstacked them all and restacked them one at a time, making the colors alternate so I can have a new color on top every time I use one. Is this obsessive and weird?
Fine, then, take his side. Hmph.
Anyway, nothing much else is new. I didn't get nearly as much done today as I had planned. I don't know why, but the concept of working on something was horrifying. I did actually do some online shopping and spent a ridiculous amount of money. (My new laser printer is on the way, though!) I love the idea of shopping online, but I'm too picky for it to be easy, which almost defeats the purpose. If I find one item, then I have to judge it by sixteen other variations and twelve different stores and figure out shipping rates for every single one of them. I love it that some of them have free shipping options most of the time now.. that's where Amazon gets our business. However, I do love it that I don't have to go out of my house to get my Christmas shopping done. :) And it's always fun to get packages!
Oh! One more thing about the purses.. turns out they were $5.08 each instead of about $6. The math got very complicated yesterday, but I worked it out today. I think those sales clerks were extremely irritated with us, but Mom and I got pretty aggressive with them after a while. I don't know why I feel the need to talk about these purses so much. I think you would have had to be there to get into the true excitement of the moment.
I'm not feeling my muse tonight, surprise of surprises, so I'm going to go off to bed now instead. Night. :)

Date: 2003-12-12 07:17 am (UTC)I had heaps of Babysitter's Club books, too, though I was more conventional and ordered them by number. I remember growing out of them and feeling slightly depressed when I realized that there were two or three new ones out that I didn't have, but I didn't WANT to read them anymore.. :)
