I just got a phone call from a woman wanting to know if I was expecting a laser printer. Indeed I was.. UPS had marked it out for delivery at 5:33 this morning in Maysville, but then brought two packages without leaving it so I figured it just wasn't coming, though that was weird. Apparently, they had delivered it to their house, and so she thought she would have better luck calling me than trying to call UPS about it. The addresses are only vaguely similar, though they do live just up the road. (A different road, mind you.) It's so nice that they called! They could have had themselves a new printer! M points out that we could have two now, if we call the company to complain about it not arriving, but we're not theft-minded, of course, so we won't. :)

He's on his way to pick it up right now, so I'm all excited. And tonight I might get to print the working first draft of my book. Yay! :)

Oh, and I would also add that UPS has not one single time delivered our stuff to the correct address, so it's not dreadfully surprising. If it comes from them, it always goes to my parents. We have the same address, granted, but FedEX and the post office both bring it to the right place. :)

After my recent experience, I'd say you were very lucky your neighbors called you. I am sure Santa will remember them. :)

It rather made me want to send them some chocolate or something, but I didn't have anything like that. :) Besides that, if I were them and someone sent me food items in that situation I probably wouldn't eat it anyway. You never know. :)

I sometimes get mail for a women in the court across from us who has the same first name, though we spell it differently and our addresses look nothing alike. We just stick it in her mailbox because she's not very friendly.

It kind of makes you wonder, doesn't it? I can certainly understand a mistake, but habitual mistakes are something else. :)

Wow, I'm so glad that they at least delivered it to an honest person for you! What luck!

I can think of a lot of people who would have kept it, so I'm pretty happy it showed up. :)

It's nice to know that honest people still exist in the world! Glad you got your printer...do you love it? :) Have fun playing with paper!

It's excellent. Soo fast, so nice! Also, it doesn't feel like I'm wasting ink when I print stuff anymore, since it has a 7000 page capacity or something per cartridge. And it's so pretty! ;)
