Reason #84731 that having the husband home is nicer than having him at work--we can stay up late enough to watch the 11:30 episode of Good Eats! Such luxury, and we didn't even think about it until tonight. Speaking of Good Eats, I made AB's tomato sauce tonight for dinner. (Linkie linkie.) Well, minus adjustments for what I actually had on hand. It was extremely good, although very very very flavorful. It also turned out extremely spicy in that "he could not possibly have meant for this to be this hot" kind of way. I'll take the blame for it, though, because I did halve it and alter it and all.
I've been working on the MM site like crazy today, and while it's coming along nicely, I'm bloody sick of it by now. :) I know that I'll be excited about it again later, when it's up and running, but at the moment, I'm wondering what the heck we were thinking of. :) I just have moodiness during the creative process, nothing to worry about.
Also, I started knitting a green scarf today, although I think I'll probably take it apart and start over. I made it much too wide. My stitches are looking better all the time, but it clearly isn't a work of creative genius. I'm enjoying it but it's not singing my name or anything. I do enjoy how easy it is to take out stitches, though. I think it's probably worth learning to knit for the sheer joy of unravelling everything now and then. Perhaps this is colored from my background with tatting, though, which is a pain in the rump to remove, although usually not as irritating as cutting the mistake out, tying new thread in and sewing the ends down.. Laziness always wins, doesn't it?
My husband is eating his second dinner (a four-egg omelette with ham and cheese) at 12:31 am. If he wasn't so tall, I'd think he might be a hobbit. He has the hairy feet, at least. :)
I'm not sure we're developing good habits here. Maybe we should go to bed.
