It's really amazing how much useless stuff people acquire. We, for instance, have more junk than any reasonable person should have. When we get done with the unpacking, we're going to have to start ebaying again. But I think we've made a bit of a breakthrough tonight, despite our early procrastination efforts in the afternoon. This is good because the clutter has been depressing me. M has been working his little heart out, but there's just so many hours in the day and all that.

I got home from work at around 4:30 and promptly took a nap. I was tired, but mainly I was trying to prevent the onset of moodiness. I could feel it coming, and I was hit with it much harder than usual earlier in the week so I didn't want to take any chances on it coming back. It did help, though. Anyway. We had dinner at Arby's, did a little clothes shopping for M and then a little driving around. There are a lot of cute little houses for sale in this approximate neighborhood, and we found out that the little road that I've been eyeing does indeed lead to this subdivision--I've been thinking that it probably does but we haven't had the chance to check it out. Mom mentioned the other day while apartment hunting that she has, in the past (we moved around a lot) turned down a house because of the street name. I see her point, especially in light of one particular road that we passed. Can you imagine living on Devil's Hollow? Doesn't that sound like something straight out of a horror movie? Or a bad tv documentary, at least?

Lots of fun to explore a new town!

When we got home, I finally got the bathroom upstairs done while M worked in the kitchen. I really can't wait until the kitchen is done--I'm tired of eating out but we don't have most of the stuff available to cook with, so other than one night of spaghetti, we're pretty much stuck with it. I'm hopeful on that front for tomorrow. M finished the contact paper in there today, so we've settled on putting stuff in its approximate place as soon as it's clean, and once that's all done, we'll figure out how to arrange it more logically. It's been hard to get stuff clean when there was no place to put it, you know. :) Have I mentioned how much I love that dishwasher?

My feet are starting to get well finally. I joined a group of people on a walk on Monday, and I ruined my feet. I was wearing new shoes, and shoes that I purchased just because they were so clearly comfortable. My feet didn't hurt at all throughout my tour of all the buildings, but we were walking along on aspalt and I didn't have on any socks. After a while, they just started feeling very hot. Then they started tingling. Then they started burning. I had five giant blisters and a bleeding wound on my heel when we got back. Not good. They don't hurt unless I wear shoes now, though, and not too badly at all even then. I felt very sorry for myself over the whole deal, especially since they soured me on my new comfy shoes. :(

Today's accomplishment--making myself ask for help when something didn't work. I'm bad at that. Very nice to have a friend to pester with my problems, although she might not think it's so hot. ;)
