I don't like Mondays. This feels almost like a revelation at this point, since it's just my second Monday of work. :) I even dislike Mondays enough that I signed up for every other Monday off today. One of the niftiest benefits of this new job is that the schedules are somewhat flexible. I won't start the new schedule until July, though. For now, I'll have to content myself with 52-minute lunches every day and next Monday off. (Really, I don't know why it's 52 minutes. I could take the full hour, but this way I can leave at 4:22.) I figure lots of people want Fridays off, but honestly, I don't know why. I would rather have an extra day at the end of the weekend than the beginning.

Barbie called tonight, and I think she's going to be coming over tomorrow at seven. It's a little funny how easy it is to talk to her like we talked to each other way back when. Should be fun, anyway. Will have to set my gnome on keeping the house clean tomorrow. ;)

All I've been able to think about for the last three hours is going to bed. I have no idea why I'm sitting here writing this. I mean, how many times do I need to write about what furniture needs moved? Speaking of which, we rearranged the computer room tonight, or at least got it started. It's not done, but the basic idea has been started. It's so weird to have this much free space in the middle of a room.. Ha. Not like there's any free space there now--there's just theoretical free space. It might happen that there will be free space, but there sure isn't right now.

It looks like I'd have fun new stories now that we've changed everything about our life, doesn't it? Is this my cue to say something trite like "the more things change, the more things stay the same" or "life goes on" or "business as usual" or something similarly cliched? Or maybe I could come up with a brand new and inventive idiom about the situation, like.. "the silent squirrel stays on course" or "still ponds see little disturbance from big rocks when the moon is high" or "mellow days are here again" or something like that.

But I think that I shall just say goodnight, instead.

I don't even know what to comment on first, but here goes:

"something trite" - You've been hanging out too much with those Australians again.
"the silent squirrel stays on course" - I don't even know where to start on that one. Same as above, I guess.
"But I think that I shall just say goodnight, instead." - That's the most sensible thing you've said all day.

I thought the silent squirrel comment was a lot more sensible. Leaves are bloody noisy!! Confucius say, silent squirrel is secret squirrel...

I got it wrong, didn't I? Darnit, I don't know why I remembered silent instead of secret! :) Eh, well, I guess that it doesn't really impact my life all that much either way. But still.

Yeah, like you're the sensible one to talk about saying sensible stuff.

How about something brilliant pertaining to the actual height of the meniscus in direct relation to the moon phase? *grin*
