Happy happy game girl

I am officially Never Leaving The House Again. Do you know what my darling husband found for me? Only every single Nintendo game ever made... literally! (PC-based.) He actually got that a while back but we couldn't find my Barbie gamepad (which he had also bought for me a long time ago and I'd never used.. not a heavy gamer but it was really cute and came with Barbie's own playstation in a case) so it was of limited fun with just the keyboard. When we finally found the gamepad, it didn't really work with the game, so we made a stop at CompUSA today and bought a USB gamepad and I've been having ridiculous amounts of fun for the last hour, playing ten seconds of such classics as Mario and Tetris and Jeopardy and Double Dragon, but also brand new winners like Alfred Chicken and Bad Dudes and Bible Buffet and Big Nose Freaks Out. (Where do people come up with these ideas?) I do love that man of mine.
Speaking of love, I think it's both a good and bad thing that we've been married long enough that I didn't think to mention here that he also brought me flowers on Monday night. It's good that it's not so rare that I needed to make a big deal about it but at the same time it's bad that I didn't brag on him anyway. :) Better late than never, and to be fair, I guess if I had been home for more than an hour when I wasn't asleep in that time, I might have gotten around to it. Miss Elizabeth has been taking up my evenings, but I guess I won't get to see her again after tonight until next weekend. *sniff* We took pictures tonight, but I don't have time to transfer them.. hopefully tomorrow or so if they turn out okay.
Anyway, I'm not totally convinced that I'll be able to tear myself away from Zelda and Final Fantasy tomorrow and drag myself to work, but I guess if I'm to have a chance, I'd better get to bed. I'm working very long days this week, but thankfully there were only three of them to contend with Very very happy that tomorrow is Friday!
And one more thing.. I almost hate to mention this because the joke is just too obvious, but... did I happen to mention that my new USB toy is a Thrustmaster? Is that not the coolest gadget ever for an aspiring romance novelist to have lying about on her desk?!
