Did you know that "pink" and "maroon" are valid choices for eye color? It's quite amazing, the things that one learns while filling out citizenship applications. Like, did you also know that you need to let them know if you've EVER been a habitual drunkard, gambled illegally, been a prostitute (or procured anyone for prostitution) or committed a crime or offense for which you were not arrested? It's the "Good Moral Character" section. Luckily, we can truthfully check the box for No in all of those sections. I don't doubt that this is good information to have, but I wonder how many people willingly provide evidence of their secret illegal activities at this stage in the "we can still deport you" process.

I've been pseudo-productive today. Basically, I've wandered around the house with a book in my hands, taking a break now and then to fiddle with the computer in some semi-meaningful way or throw a load of laundry in. Therefore, I managed to get a few things done, but in the general scheme of things I was pretty lazy. I really really enjoyed it, but I do wish I could do it again tomorrow. Last week was kind of sucky except for the arrival of the baby (by the way, thank you all for your very astute comments regarding Elizabeth's decided beauty), so it was very nice to take a real day off. J came over yesterday while M was at work, and we spent the whole afternoon stitching and bitching, so to speak. I made dinner and we ate outside on the patio, and it was also a generally nice day. Even if I had to clean first.. :)

M says I can blame this on the weather, but now I'm so tired that it hurts to even sit. Hopefully, that crazy weather will just go right away and leave me feeling chipper and well-rested tomorrow. I can always dream, right?

I thought only anime and manga characters were allowed to have pink and maroon eyes to go with their blue and purple hair.

That's what I thought! Apparently, real human beings get to have pink and maroon eyes though. The INS said so.

I suppose if one were albino, one could have pink eyes, or if one simply had pink eye...*grin* but maroon? WTF?! I have never seen anyone with maroon eyes before, or even pink (other than my albino bunny). I knew a girl with one blue and one brown once. I know a cat like that now, come to think of it. Where do they come up with these!

Exactly! Pink, I can perfectly well understand, although I imagine it's not so common that they couldn't write it in under "other", but I just don't understand maroon at all.

"Stitching and bitching" - excellent title of a book methinks....

Like this one (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0761128182/qid=1095349962/sr=8-1/ref=pd_csp_1/103-1122884-8861410?v=glance&s=books&n=507846)? :) It's quite the hit in the knitting circle. I even own it and I barely knit. Maybe you knew about it and I just misread your post but if not, it's pretty funny that you had that thought all on your own! :)

*LOL* No, I didn't know about it, I just thought the phrase you used was perfect for a book - how funny! Your wording is better though :)
