Did you know that when you're sick, calories don't count? I don't know when I've eaten so badly as I did this weekend. Now it's Sunday and I'm suffering pangs of guilt over all the bad food choices this weekend. Also, indigestion. Yes, there were potatoes in my weekend. And pizza. M and I have gotten totally obsessed with semi-homemade pizzas lately. We buy pre-made crusts and throw on toppings and a little bit of tomato sauce and they are so, so good. So good. And fun. And.. oh, my, we should really stop buying those beautiful crusts of happiness and delight. (I try to rationalize it because it's two meals each but I know I'm lying to myself.)

Still sick, better than yesterday. No news other than that. I talked to J on the phone this afternoon, and just as I was explaining to her that I felt a lot better than yesterday and had been trying to get M to take me to Toys R Us, I broke out in a major coughing fit that left me completely unable to converse. See what you get for speaking too soon? Very disappointed that we didn't get to go out to dinner with them, though. Stupid flu.

I finished reading a trilogy recommended by Carrie and Mike (too lazy for the links) today (Daughter of the Empire, Servant of the Empire, Mistress of the Empire.) Mike assured me that I would enjoy it as I am Carrie's soultwin, so I thought I would take this opportunity to point out that I did very much enjoy it, as it turns out.. big surprise, huh? I didn't like the events of the first third-to-half of the third book at ALL and I was getting a little antsy about all the major suckage for the characters, so I (ahem) flipped to the last page to see if I saw a certain person/event that would make me a little more hopeful about the happy ending potential. I did see such a thing, and then things picked up elsewhere, and all was good. I really, really liked the way it all ended, and the loose ends were tied up, and furthermore, I really enjoyed finishing a series for once. As a Robert Jordan fan, this is a sensation I am exceedingly unfamiliar with. I would kindly like to write a little more in-depth about it but I don't want to spoil anything for anyone.. namely M, who will probably be reading later sometime and doesn't have the willpower to not read what I would write under a LJ-cut. ;)

M and I, by the way, are completely crazy, and we probably should be sent to bed without pudding. If only we were sleepy yet. Mmm. Pudding...

I will go to bed without pudding as long as I get ice cream.
