Magnus had his first day of work today, and all went well. He was very very excited about his afternoon--he spent it driving Volvos. And he wants to keep them, of course. :) So I'm glad that he's enjoying it so far. He almost missed his first day, though. I happened to wake up at 7 and look at the clock. The alarm didn't go off.. it would have been really bad if he'd been late on his very first day!
I spent the day being super productive. I've done laundry, changed the sheets and made the bed, vacuumed the computer room and put the rug back--we'd moved it out because of cables and chairs getting in the way the other day, packed and mailed the trumpet, went to the grocery and fixed dinner, cancelled our earthlink service and got 2 extra months free, copied a CD for Casey, and other general straightening. I'm not positive what got into me. :) Now just to decide what to do tomorrow.
Magnus is in the living room watching training videos. *giggle* I have this feeling he's really going to like this job, even if it isn't exactly what we expected he'd be doing.
We're going to have to get another bank account for Quantrell to deposit money into. I find this very silly, and also rather inconvenient. *mumble* Can't people write checks anymore?! It won't hurt you! Or at least offer it as an option. :)
Neat! I hated this one particular thing about Outlook Express. It always opened links in Internet Explorer, which is very much not my default browser. I upgraded to IE 6 tonight, and now the links open in Opera, like they're supposed to. How cool! It's the first time I've seen Microsoft move away from something like that, I think.. although I have a pretty good idea of why they're being a little less territorial. :)
