Saturday morning

My day is completely messed up because it's Saturday. None of my background noise television shows are on, and it feels so wrong. It's really not that I watch a lot of tv in general, but I like having something on behind me, and the noises are just wrong. And I didn't even remember what it was about for the longest time! I watched five minutes of a dumb teenage sitcom before I figured it out!

Anyway. I was indeed considering going to Lexington today. I hadn't decided for sure, but then when Magnus called to let me know he got to work alright, he pointed out that he couldn't go to lunch today, as no one leaves for lunch on Saturday. Quantrell buys them lunch, as they're typically too busy to take real lunch breaks. So. Not much point in going if I don't get to see my baby. So. I'm not sure what the rest of the day is going to be. So far, I've mainly been doing online things and showering and such. I've decided that I'm going to go all out and cook myself lunch. Philly steak and swiss, with mushrooms and onions. Only we don't have any swiss, so I guess I'll have to use mozzarella. I, by the way, make the best philly steak and swiss sandwiches in the world. Or at least better than anything I've had in a restaraunt. I also am the only one who thinks so. :)

I want some square plates. But the only thing I really want them for is so I can make dinner look really cool on the plate, and there's not much point that I can see in doing that for just the two of us. It's not like we have frequent dinner parties or anything. The parents come over sometimes, but they tend to dislike it when we're snobby. *giggle*

I have to write this now because I fear my baby will fall asleep in his chair soon. Then I'll forget to do it before I go to bed. I do hope he makes it at least another hour, as I'm really not particularly sleepy.

We went to Ponderosa tonight, which is greatly unusual. We never go there, as I tend to not like it. It was decently good, though somewhat bland. Oh well. Cutter's was waaaay too crowded with the drunken crowds at the bar, and that's where we were headed. We also stopped at WalMart to get Pepsi and Advil. It's freezing out tonight.. but hopefully (supposedly) it'll be warmer tomorrow. Sure hope it doesn't get colder, at least. It's definitely time for a shift in the weather.

Oh yeah. Tonight is Daylight Savings time. Do we gain or lose an hour? I know that you 'spring forward and fall back' but I can never place exactly what it is that means. *giggle*
Our house looks so very nice. Very clean. I worked on it all afternoon, so it should look nice. I nearly warned Magnus that I might get violent if he came in and asked what I'd been doing all day, but he was smart enough to comment repeatedly on how clean everything is. *giggle* The only thing I didn't do was make the bed. I just can't bring myself to do it, for some reason. I hate having the bed against the wall like it is. It only has one free side, with the old desk at the bottom.. this makes no sense to anyone who hasn't seen our room, so I'll shut up now.

The parents were at an auction today and bought two gas stoves for $8. My dad really knows how to shop. ;)
