Tuesday afternoon
May. 7th, 2002 06:41 pmI may have found us a car! A '95 gold Mazda 626, $2500! It looks nice, although it's somewhat dirty on the inside. But still! That's the big news of the day. The guy is a friend of my dad's, hence the price, and he's also mentioned possible other cars. So. We'll see how that goes. If it's still there on Friday (with my luck, it won't be) we'll go together to look at it and possibly drive it. Zoom zoom zoom.
My creativity is low again. I have such spells with that. It worries me.
I'm kinda watching Trading Spaces, and I would just like to say that I can't stand that one designer guy Doug. He's such a jerk. He doesn't care in the slightest if the room suits the owners. Made up example: "Oh! This is the kids playroom! Let's make the floors brown concrete, the walls and ceiling baby-poop yellow, have lots of choking hazard buttons on all the available couches and pillows and rugs, a nice flimsy statue in the corner that they can tip over and absolutely nothing FUN in the whole room! Yeah! That'd look cool!" "But.. Doug.. this won't be useful for the family." "What? You don't agree with my genius? THEY think they're the designers now?!" And.. how about a real example? He just turned this family's living room into a home theater, complete with raised aisles and aisle lights and brown fabric curtains on the walls. It's hideous. The absolute worst thing I've ever seen on that show. Or any other, at that.
Magnus called the body shop where the Cavalier has been resting, and apparently they haven't even heard from the insurance company. They were supposed to send someone out on Friday. I don't want this to go on for ages. It wasn't our fault, and we need to buy a new vehicle now. Let's get moving with this, people.
Mother's Day is Sunday. There's really not a chance that I'm going to get the cross-stitch project done. *sigh* I'm still working on it though! The question is whether or not to leave her at "I know what it is but I can't find it yet, but soon!" or to give her something else and get the thingie done later. But then, should I give it to her when it's done or wait until Christmas or her birthday in January? Decisions, decisions.
I'm getting somewhat hungry. Wonder what I should have for dinner?
