Monday night
May. 27th, 2002 09:50 pmJust a quick update on how things are. We're watching a cooking show at the moment.. okay, so M and his parents are watching, I'm glancing up every once in a while if there's something interesting. In swedish and all, and I don't have the energy or inclination to pick up on part of the dialogue.
I just now finished setting up ICQ on this computer, so maybe we can do the instant messaging thing now. Also thought it wise to authorize them so they didn't have to worry about that, but ICQ tends to lose messages if someone is offline and it would be inconvenient for it to do so.. ie, switching between users... grin. So, soon Magnus will show them how to do it.. one of those things that would be best done in Swedish, I think.
Today has been fun. We got to sleep much longer than before, and then have a slow day. We went to our McDonald's, and then stopped in at Dell so Magnus could see the people he worked with, including and particularly Peo. It's funny, cause in one week on this visit, I've met thousands of people, or so it feels. Last time I was here for almost three months and just met Blatt. So. That was nice. I didn't see his office last time I was here, but apparently it was all different now, so. And most of the people were different as well. But still!
Then we went to Obs (we refuse to acknowledge it as coop forum) and Sollentuna Centrum and looked for souvenirs for Whitley and the parents. Failed. We'll possibly go to the Cookie Nose Tower (I generally am not big on translating streets or places, but this just sounds so much cuter in English) tomorrow to look there.. and it was what we did last time on our last day here. So that might be fun.
After we got home, I went into a straightening frenzy and cleaned our room back up and got the suitcases ready and did some pre-packing. Did a little reading, too. Magnus was outside working with his dad on taking pictures of cars and such. Pontus came by and stayed for.. I dunno, an hour or so. So now I've met the gang in full.. that's neat. I like having faces to put with names. Then we had pizza for dinner, and now I hope M will have fulfilled his Swedish pizza craving, after having it twice. One can hope, at least.
So.. now there's just one more day left before we go home.. it's been fun but I'm beginning to think it's time to sleep in our own bed again. And rest a little! :) So.. time to go for now.. more tomorrow or when we get home. Wabies!
