Sunday night
May. 26th, 2002 10:29 pmHave been extremely busy for the last couple of days, so this is the first chance I've had to write anything. We just got back from Solstugan (restaraunt) and that was fun. We had dinner with Blatt, Zurk (who kindly picked us up and took us home) and Johan and Ulrika (which I might have misspelled). And, although we had lots of fun, it's somewhat relieving to be home by 10:15 without walking a mile before we got here. Fairly decent food. The best non-fast-food burger I've had in Sweden, and probably the most expensive burger I've had in my life. $15. Was relatively speaking not all that great, but the fries were. We stayed there for like three hours, though, so I guess we got our money's worth in the end in any case.
Earlier today we went on a boat ride out in the archipaelego. We got up at 9 and drove to Dalarö, where we got on a largeish boat with a bunch of other people to take a free trip to see summer homes. We were obviously not in the market to rent a summer home, so we didn't get into that much, but we did get to take lots of pictures and have sandwiches and drinks and ice cream for lunch. We (M and me) skipped the official tour and took a walk for a while, and then took a rowboat out for a while, and sat for a while.. all in all had a fairly nice time, although we were somewhat anxious to get back, as we found out that the boat ride back would take an hour and a half and include stops at two more islands, which was less than ideal. But we got home and ready in time, so it all worked out.
Now, as for the undiscussed time. Friday night we went to Paul's and had a nice dinner, and then sat and talked until eleven, then spent an hour or so leaving. :) That was nice, and strangely as if it hadn't been two years since last we saw him. Nisse wasn't able to be there cause of a work thing, but we did see him just as we were leaving, so that was good.
We were up incredibly early on Saturday to wish Erik a happy birthday and then go to a veteran car market thing in Wärsta. This turned out to be less than fun, as it was much colder than expected, and it rained part of the time. The wind was bitterly cold, though, and that was the real problem. And then.. we had a picnic, which was.. well, cold. :) Returned to the house finally, and got cleaned up and had cake and coffee with everyone before we left for town. But! We had pizza first! That was neat! I was a little afraid it wouldn't be as good as I remembered it, but it was good! Then we met Blatt, Mårten and Camilla at JoLo and talked for a while and played a little pool. We played in teams with very strange rules.. I was incredibly tired and sucked most of the night, but improved at the end. That was good, as I didn't even hit the danged thing two shots in a row, for example. But everyone was in a good mood and it was fun. :)
We've been having lots of fun on the trip.. every night we've spent the journey home saying "This was lots of fun!" At the same time.. we ate in town and went to JoLo on Tues, were at Kina's on Wed after spending the entire day in town, at Paul's on Fri, at JoLo on Sat after being out in the cold and wind all day, and in town again tonight after being out with the boat all day. We're actually looking forward to not having much planned for tomorrow.. I believe we're going to do a bit of shopping, check out a Volvo dealer, and the major thing is that we're going to sleep as late as we want. :) Also, we might stop in at Dell to say hi.
Anyway, it's nearing eleven now and I can go to bed, and that sounds very nice. Night night!
