Yesterday afternoon I spent a while downloading the new Counting Crows CD, which isn't to be released until July 9, according to their website. Naturally, I'll buy it when it appears. I always do. Anyway. The funny thing was this: as it's a rare luxury to have a new CC cd (the last was out in Nov of 1999), I didn't want to listen to the whole thing before I made the CD, so I didn't fully listen to all the songs. I just checked beginnings and endings to make sure it was the right song and it wasn't cut off or anything. So I made the CD and it refused to work, so I tried again with another CD and program, and it worked fine. So M and I went to WalMart and I insisted on taking the CD player (we have a tape thingie that plays the Discman, no cd player in the car).. we normally only take the CD if we're going to leave town as it's a little bit of a hassle for just being in town. So we start listening to the CD.

All is relatively normal for a while. The third song was instrumental, for some reason, so we skipped that one.. but hey, it happens sometimes, so no big deal. Then we notice that the fifth song was Adam Duritz singing "I said, Goodnight LA" over and over.. for 4 minutes. Surely, we said, that can't be right.. and then we realize that over half of the songs were just looped over and over. They were remarkably skillfully done, but they were loops. *giggle* Seven songs, it turned out to be! So I've been playing with that this morning, and in 1:32, I should have them all again. And this time, I'm checking for loops... *giggle*

I hate Saturdays because I don't have my typical background noise on the TV. Stupid kids shows, for the most part, or.. just weekend television in general. It sucks. I want The View to come on in half an hour, and to watch Days at 1. *mumble* Oh well. :)

I really need to go grocery shopping, but I doubt it'll get done today. It'd be more practical to do it on Monday, anyway. Or tomorrow night. We won't be home tomorrow anyway, or eat at home tonight. Yes, that's what I'll do. I'll wait.

Tonight we have a birthday party to go to. Alex is turning 5 and Devon is turning 3. Their birthdays are.. four days apart, I believe. Angie is definitely more careful about birth control in September now. *mgrin* We bought them a DVD to share (Secret of Nimh.. I remember watching it when I was young, so I figured that they wouldn't have seen it... dunno, though. Guess they can take it back if they have it.) And two electronic pet things. A kitty and a puppy.

Someone is downloading Hasse & Tage stuff from me. Then (s)he sent me a message in Swedish! *giggle* Basically saying that (s)he had more if I wanted to take them. Had to tell him they were my husband's and my swedish isn't great. It was funny. :) However, the fact that there are around ten songs he wants from me makes it hard for me to disconnect without feeling bad. :) I wanna make my CD!

Can't believe it's almost 11. What'm I going to do with the day? I should probably clean, but I don't see that happening. I need to wrap the kids presents. I could make something foodlike to take to the party, but I have no clue what that would be, and if I did come up with something, I'd have to go to the grocery store to get it. I suppose I should work on the company stuff. Probably will. Later. Oh! I could make my CD on M's computer! Yes, that's what I'll do! Yay! Anyway, I'll go work on that and stop rambling here. Wavies!
