Sunday night
Jun. 23rd, 2002 11:33 pmI haven't been as faithful as normal in my journal.. not sure what's up with that. Been kinda busy, i suppose.
Yesterday was long. I spent the day making my baby a strawberry cake type thing. Too lazy to deal with funky letters to write it in Swedish. It was Midsommar! But he had to work, and I had to spend the day making a cake, so we didn't do much celebration. I also made an experimental dinner (pasta with a roasted red pepper sauce) and it was.. well, not a hit. M ate it, but I thought it was pretty gross. Anyway, my sweetie was very happy about his midsommar surprise, so that made it all worthwhile.
Today we went to Elliott County, and that was pleasant. Ate at Wendy's before we went, so there was no sucky dishes to help with, either. However, there was nothing particularly special that happened.. just nice visiting with the family. We came home and did computer things for a while.. I started looking at the site for M's dad. I made fettucini alfredo for dinner, and we were summoned to the parents for a little while. Turned out that they wanted to give us a chair. That was nice! They went to the fire dept auction last night, and bought a new chair.. a recliner. They had planned to put it in the livingroom, but I think they weren't pleased with how it looked.. it's very tan, and their furniture is very not tan, for the most part. So. Yay us! Comfy furniture! It does mean that we have to get rid of the maroon chair I got from Shannan, though. Oh well. It was sorta brokenish anyway.
After that, we had a billion hours worth of dishes, from all the baking and cooking and stuff. But even that wasn't too bad. I just wish my baby didn't have to go to work tomorrow!
