Thursday afternoon
Jun. 27th, 2002 04:59 pmWell. I believe I'm leaning towards keeping my LiveJournal account and using it instead of Movable Type. This decision was assisted by being unable to log in to the other one. As I haven't done anything to it since last time, I don't see quite why it would be broken.. therefore, I don't think I want to stress myself out over it.
I've been working on graphics today. I have a nice little design begun for the one I'm doing now, for Magnus's dad. Well, pending approval from someone besides myself, of course. :)
I also went up to the road to help the parents set up a tent. This proved troublesome for me, as I got something in my eye and had to come home. I was here a while, putting in drops and washing my face/eye area and looking for something in the eye, and finally was going to head back with a huge thing of some sort in my eye, when suddenly I felt something almost pop, and I started blinking and then it was gone. Still very sensitive and.. sticky feeling, from the eye drops, I guess. But at least it's not agonizing pain. That's good.
Magnus called me before I left and asked if we had plans for tomorrow. I was confused at first, and then I remembered that tomorrow is Friday and M's day off! YAY! It was especially exciting since it was like that and I didn't realize it and all. Wonder what we'll be doing? :) And the weather is supposed to be nice. 84 degrees and sunny. I just hope it's not humid. I hate humid. And stuffy.
I finished the second lord of the rings book last night. Yay! I enjoyed it much more than the first. I'm going to try to just go into the second without taking a break from reading LoTR, as I'd like to be done with it. I feel like such a failure as a geek, since I'm not particularly into this. I'm reading it because I have to, more than anything. I like the story! It's not that at all. I just have a problem with the writing skills of Tolkien. I'm sorry if that makes me seem a heretic to some people, but that's just the way it is. So there. Anyway. It also means that I have one book of the list of things I'm supposed to read for the hubby.
Oh well. Going to go do some other stuff for a while, and reboot this poor computer. It's been protesting for the last little while about how it would prefer more system resources.. :) Having graphics proggies open all day does that, usually. More later!
