As expected, we've had more trouble with the internet connection. Supposedly, someone was coming out to fix it today, but they haven't shown up and it's already six pm, so unlikely that they'll arrive today at all. This is frustrating because we've spent a vacation day waiting on them to arrive, and they.. well, haven't. We haven't been able to go anywhere at all due to their possible arrival. This afternoon, though, the connection came back, at least (it was gone for well over a day). Who knows how long it'll last, though. So far, our service has been uninspiring, to say the least.

Yesterday we went to Papaw's, naturally. Had a bit of a girl afternoon, with Rae and Moe and Shannan and me having hair done. :) We went to see the parents at their camp and had dinner (nummy hamburgers and such) with Mamaw and Papaw and Ike and Alice. That was nice. I developed a headache and came home.. woke up with an even worse one this morning. Ugh. Hate headaches. Sucky bad. But it's been mostly gone this afternoon, at least.

My new book and CD arrived today! Yayy!! I've spent a while reading all about searing and grilling. I wanna make steak now. Perhaps I will. With a sauce for my precious. And potatoes. We've spent a good deal of the last couple of days playing Dungeon Siege. It's lots of fun but a little too big for my tastes. I don't much like games that take years to complete. But.. we'll see. :)

We really need to figure out what the plans are for the week. We want to do something fun, quality-time togethery, and we don't necessarily want to spend a lot of money while doing it. We'd talked about going to the Smokey Mountains again, but we decided that there was no point in going at the height of the busiest season when we're only interested in an indoor pool, a Chinese restaraunt, and a bookstore. Might as well wait until our anniversary, or something. We talked about taking the dinner train from Bardstown, which we saw featured on FoodTV once and thought looked fun. Found the website a couple of days ago, on one of the rare moments of connectivity we've enjoyed of late, and realized that we really have no current desire to pay $60--each--for a 2.5 hour train ride and dinner. As Magnus said.. he'd rather have a hard drive. I didn't point out that his mathematics were slightly skewed in this case, as.. where does my part of the train ride ticket come in to pay for his hard drive? *grin* Anyway. We've talked about going to Mammoth Caves, to Cincinnati, to London (KY, that is), and to.. essentially every other place we could think of. And we've decided on nothing, of course. The plan is to make some plans tonight, I think. That'll be good to have done.

Anyway, I think we've scrapped the steak plan, because it's getting late and well, we don't have any steak. But we need to find food anyway, so I have to go check on that now.
