Sunday night -- No More Veggies.
Jul. 28th, 2002 11:03 pmOh, but I'm tired of veggies by now. We've been helping the parents do the fried veggies concession stand at the free bluegrass festival in town this weekend. Today was only miserable, yesterday was worse. We started later today and closed much, much earlier, even with disassembling the tent and loading the equipment. We came home and cleaned up (but I just remembered that I didn't get to wash my hair, and now the last thing I want to do is jump in the shower again. Ugh.) and went out for the celebratory End Of Sale dinner at Cutter's. None of us had been out there recently because of sucky food and high prices, but it was pretty good tonight. And free. :) The veggies are brilliant, really wonderful, but after a couple of days, you're so ready to not see another one for a few months. :)
That's pretty much all we've done this weekend. M has talked to his parents on the phone, and I've actually conversed via email with his mom, which isn't the usual. :) I have a billion unread emails, but they're all listmails, so no big deal. M has finally finished his rereading of Lord of the Rings, for which I'm profoundly grateful. One book or another has been lying around the house since November, and I'm more than ready for all of them to be in the bookcase again.. I'm sick of the sight of them. ;) Oh, and soon the new Wheel of Time book will be out.. which means I should start my third journey through the books so I'll remember what's going on. :) Also, I think I've decided to go ahead and read those danged Harry Potter books so I'll be able to converse intelligently about it. :) I just forgot them at Brad's the other night.
I've been trying to talk myself into waiting until morning to wash my hair, but I'm afraid it's not going to work. Shucks. Gotta run now, nearly time for bed anyway.
