I'm determined that tonight, I will write a normal entry. I will not theorize about my learning process or link to random information. I will not be melodramatic and sad about events of a year ago. Instead, I will write a little about my day and perhaps a little about what's going on in general.

Today was basically an average Sunday. We went to my Papaw's house and was social with the family. We drew names for Christmas, and we got somewhat lucky. Aunt Rita and Curt. Aunt Rita can be easily satisfied with a quick stop at Bath and Body Works, Curt apparently likes fishing and the Denver Broncos. Now I can start Christmas shopping. Three months early. How pathetic.

We stopped at Mamaw and Papaw's for awhile and had hot dogs with the parents on the mountain, and it was pretty good. The bluegrass festival is this week.. I'm really not looking forward to it that much. We've been doing concessions for the last three years, and it's kind of sad that we're not this year. I really got enough of the atmosphere from back there, without the whole sitting-in-lawn-chairs and listening-to-music-for-five-days thing. Now, if I liked bluegrass, things might be different, but well, I don't. I wish I did, though.

At an open invitation from Amerikanska, I have added [livejournal.com profile] faeriewing to my friends list. Hi, Tia! Feel free to add me back, if you wish. :) Looking forward to reading about how things are going for you.

M's friend Blatt might come visit soonish. He came up with the idea while drunk a couple of weeks ago, but apparently thought that the idea was a good one while sober as well, so he's looking into that now, I think. Except for the wedding, he's the only one who's been to visit us. I think that's kind of nifty of him. :) But we'd rather like to fix him up with someone so he could move here as well. Unfortunately, we seem to have run out of available single female type persons. :(

I wrote my inlaws an entire mail in swedish this afternoon. This would be more impressive if Magnus hadn't had to help me, of course, but I think I did fairly okay. And it was good practice at the very least. Speaking of which, I have to do my 'homework' (I've been reading and translating two short stories aloud per night from the kids book M gave me for our first Christmas) and then it'll be time for bed. Night night!
