I suppose we really should be getting ready to leave for the day, but, well, we aren't. I woke up nearly an hour ago, even before the phone rang (my dad is really happiest when he's waking someone up). I fell asleep early last night while the hubby stayed awake and watched more Monty Python. I think he's working his way through the tv series again. I've been half-watching with him, but mainly working on my cross-stitch. A really cute Christmas tree I started but messed up the counting and put away in January. I got it out and fixed the mistake and have nearly finished it now.. I worked on it all afternoon yesterday, while sitting with M at the cellularone booth. I can never decide what to do with them when I get them done, though. Part of me wants to give it to someone and the other part wants to keep it keep it keep it!!

Anyway. I've been a little stressed, tired, unable to write much this week due to the whole bluegrass scene. We left early both yesterday and the day before. Last night we would have stayed late, but it started looking majorly ominous and stormy. I was being very accomodating and not whining about leaving yet, when finally M says that he almost wishes that it would go ahead and start raining so we'd have an excuse to leave. At this point, I pointed out that I wasn't going to put a damper on the evening and want to leave yet or anything, but if THAT was what he was waiting on, I really really wished he wouldn't. :) So we took our borrowed umbrellas back to the parents and went on to the car. We'd been home.. half an hour or so when the rain came, and pretty soon it was raining extremely hard.

So today is the last day, and M has pretty much decided that we'll set up a little while again. This is the Big Day. This is when there are typically 20,000 or 30,000 people on the hill. (estimates range up to 50,000. no one has a real clue.) It's also the latest day, and Marty Stuart will be there tonight. There's someone Big every year. Last year it was Ricky Skaggs, a few years ago it was Allison Krauss (who people are still talking about, as she tried to get out of her contract because it was the year she became a big thing in the country music world, and she didn't want to do lowly bluegrass anymore, and when the owner refused on the basis that he'd been selling tickets promising that she would be there, she was very sulky on stage, singing her songs and jumping on the bus as soon as it was over. I thought she did okay, though. I get really sick of their commentary sometimes.. hehe) I really don't remember who was the big stars the other years. It doesn't matter, I'm just rambling to hear myself speak, I guess. :)

There were veggies to be had last night, and they were pretty good. Not quite as good as those we sold, because to be truly excellent, you need the big restaraunt type fryer, and he was using a much smaller one for just us. It was cute, though, because the ATV patrol guy came by and Dad ran out to take him a big basket. Last year, he was one of our biggest customers. Apparently he was extremely pleased, which was nice. Lots of people were disappointed that we weren't there, which is gratifying.

Apparently, Chickles is in for a visit. She pointed out the other day that maybe we could get together this weekend, when they brought Andy to Morehead for some "much-needed time with -Andy's friend-". I wasn't sure what to say to that, since they're always complaining about said friend. :p (*wink*) What about much needed time with Chickies! :)

Anyway, it's 10:30 and I should wake up my bug. I had icky dreams last night and so it's only right that he wake up and comfort me, right? :) (And we really should leave before it gets too late.) Might really have some good news soon, but don't want to jinx myself yet. Wish this day would go by quickly...
