Today is our second anniversary! I can't believe it's been that long, and I can't believe it's only been two years. We even happier than we were then, and that's pretty much saying a lot. :)

We decided to not go too crazy with it.. it's a Monday (which, as someone on Oprah said today, is pretty much the most unromantic day of all) and he had to work, so we couldn't go anywhere. So instead, we're cooking the best meal in the world (garlic chicken and parmesan potatoes) together and spending the evening alone at home. Being at home together is still a major luxury to us, as silly as it sounds. Anyway, the food is in the oven now, and should be done in say, twenty minutes, so we're killing a little time with email and such.

Anyway, in other news.. my Papaw is doing pretty good, though of course he's not ready for any big parties. I'm not sure when he'll get to come home.. he's still pretty sore and weak. Krista's birthday was yesterday.. can't believe she's 9 now. They apparently threw her a bday party at a pizza place in town, but we didn't hear anything about it from them til we came home from Lexington last night to a message on the machine. She said it was a spur of the moment thing, and she didn't even call Angie til noon (that's why you waited an hour before calling me.. less than half an hour before aforementioned party? Hmm.) Perhaps I should just let it go.. but then again, I also happen to know that Brad knew about it enough in advance to stay there for the party instead of going to Lexington with his dad... oh well. If it was just that incident, well, who cares? But the thing is that no one ever seems to remember us. Last year, on our way out to door to drive 45 minutes to Grayson lake for Heidi's birthday, I call Mom and she mentions that the party has been moved. Two weeks ago, it was "oh, you did know that *aunt* was in the hospital last night?" *rolling eyes* And to be fourteen again, I'll just say this: whatever.

And in closing.. my hubby brought me a ball of metallic silver yarn, a notebook, and a can of pringles for our anniversary tonight. (Get it? String, paper and potatoes..my three favorite things!) Isn't he sweet? :)
