Last night I suddenly started developing a sore throat, which continued this morning, and around noon, a bit of general achyness started. It's still not bad, but I guess it'll be headed that way. My main problem, really, is a distinct lack of energy.. I've been really slow at everything I've done today. But I did finally take down the Christmas tree.. I usually want it down the day after Christmas, but this year neither of us were ready, so we left it up. But today, I decided it was long enough since it's January now, and besides, if I'm getting sick, I won't want to do it this weekend.
It's pretty neat, actually, because we cleaned out the little room when we put the tree up, and moved bookcases from the livingroom in there, so now that the tree is down, we could move the recliner to the other side of the room, and now we have space to move around in there! It feels so nice. It makes me want to be in there, even. We tend to spend most of our time in the computer room otherwise. :)
Oh! And my shuttle is being shipped today! *BOUNCE* I'm so excited. Merry Christmas to me! Actually, I have a few things I should go ahead and order if I want to receive them anytime soon. I should do that tonight. Why do I only order things on the weekend? Just so it'll take a little extra time? Silly me.
Other than that, nothing much exciting has happened. I watched Days and Passions while taking down the tree, and I never cease to be amazed at how little actually happens on Passions. They don't even change clothes for two weeks at a time because it's all the same day!
I sort of decided that I'm going to go to school part-time this semester. I need to contact the office of admissions, though. I tried the other night but I couldn't log into their system to reapply. I couldn't do it without logging in because it read my SSN and said that I already had a student id number and to login first, but it keeps telling me that the password is wrong.. which is interesting because I reset the password twice and it still didn't work. Anyway. Their website has never been all that terrific. Since I need one class to get into grad school anyway, I thought I'd take that one class (or maybe two.. we'll see how it goes) this semester and then once I'm back in the motions of going to school, I can decide if that's really what I want to do, and then I can begin in the summer or fall as a full time student again. I hate to waste the time, but I would hate more to spend a bunch of money and effort into something I'm not entirely sure about. Besides, as Magnus points out, there's nothing to lose with this plan. If a great job or something else comes along, I can drop out. I already have a degree, so the only loss would be the cost of that one class, which isn't too much. Soo.. I need to contact them on Monday, I suppose. Should have done it today but haven't felt like it much, and now they'll be closing.
