My husband and I have really shown our age and maturity levels tonight--yes, folks, we took our rubber duckies to the bathtub to let them play.

It's getting kind of late with no bedtime in sight. We accidentally took a nap this evening, and Magnus has a hard enough time getting sleepy as it is. Nothing all that exciting happening today.. I spent a while at the parents, mainly because Angie was there. She's pretty sore and she'll have quite a Frankenstein scar on her forehead, but I was glad to see with my own eyes that she's okay. And I think she's going to have another CAT scan tomorrow or so just to make sure everything is still fine, which I think is a good plan. Head injuries are scary. Magnus was in Ashland all day. I always dislike it when he heads in that direction because he doesn't call me much. It's kind of funny, really. When he goes, it's to take care of one particular client with 125 mobile phone lines. And... are you ready for it? The reason he can't call is because.. Ashland is a roaming area for his company, and he has to pay for personal calls if he's roaming. *rofl* One would think that people wouldn't want to purchase phones for a roaming area, wouldn't you?

Anyway. Tomorrow promises to be a busy day. I have the eye appointment and then directly after that, we head to Lexington for an interview type meeting of sorts. Eh, will hopefully write more about that after it's over. Wouldn't want to jinx anything. :) And on that note, apparently I'm out of things to babble about. :)

Today has really sucked! Nothing drastic, but so far, the day has just been made up of one uncomfortable or unfortunate incident after another. First, I have to get up early. Then I have an eye exam, which means my eyes have been half numb and dialated all afternoon. Then we leave the doctor's office, skip eating a good lunch with Mom and pick up nuggets from sucky McDonald's--and they forgot the ketchup--and eat on the way to Magnus's interview in Lexington--and in Winchester (45 minutes away, 20 minutes from our destination..) the transmission (my car) dies and starts smoking, which means we have to trek in the cold over an exit ramp and walk down to a gas station and wait for over an hour for Dad to come pick us and the car up (not complaining about that part!) and I was wearing my new shoes, but the snow is melting off so now they got all muddy. Don't you hate it when you have days like that?

It hasn't been all bad, of course. Magnus took his car to run it through the car wash, and now it's fixed again. It had messed up struts, developed on the way home from Lexington last weekend. (Such timing!) That's why we were in my car.. we usually don't take it for long trips because we were afraid of the transmission.. haha. Anyway, the struts were apparently frozen, and now they've thawed. Still need replaced, but.. well, we're not gonna probably until we have to, and we certainly don't have to if it's running perfectly again, so that saves us a bit of cash. Then he got a call from the guy the interview was with and rescheduled it for tomorrow. This is extremely good, because well, he's going to lose his job next month or so for not making quota (the leading salesperson, btw, has sold 11 lines this month.. quota is 35, and no one has ever consistently made quota in this area). They really make me angry at their dumbness, if I think on it too much. Anyway, interviews are always good, and this one should be good no matter if he gets a job or not, for various reasons. See, now I've talked about it (since not jinxing it obviously didn't work last night), so this is an antijinx-jinx conversation. Broken transmissions, though, are always bad. And expensive! Also, I should be getting new glasses soon, and he talked me into an glare-free coating, which should be nice because every time I turn around my hubby has a camera stuck in my face. ;) And now my parents have called telling me not to cook because they have dinner ready. So I guess my day has taken a turn for the better! :)
