Saturday night
Feb. 23rd, 2003 12:29 amMagnus and I started taking Flintstones vitamins a few weeks ago, and we've honestly been a lot more energetic than we were before. It's amazing. I thought I was imagining it at first, but he felt the same way. And why did I buy kiddie vitamins instead of adult, one might ask? My aunt was telling us a few months ago about a couple who was suing one of the big vitamin companies.. I think it was Centrum, but I'm not sure. They had been taking these vitamins for 15 years or so, and they had some septic tank work done. The guy came out to fix the clogging, and when he opened it all up, he came in to get them to show them what the problem was... piles and piles of completely undissolved white vitamins. This story has given me a good deal of wariness about taking nonchewable vitamins. ;) I'm not positive that she actually knew these people, so there's always the chance that it's a myth, but I *think* she did. In any event, these taste good. :)
We decided against going anywhere fun for the weekend after all. We couldn't decide, at first, where to go, and the weather was forecasted to be horribly wet, cold and rainy in all directions, so we finally just stayed home, watched TV and waited for spring. Tomorrow is his last day before going back to work, and we're both a little.. nervous about it. All of the jobs that he had before were so obviously just about paying the bills, but this has real career potential. If it all works out as hoped. *crossing fingers*
Oh! Nice thing! As I mentioned, I ordered some stuff from Handy Hands, and I received the wrong shuttles. They're very similar and it's pretty easy to see how it got mistaken (same brand, almost the same color, and same price), but the ones I got didn't have a point. I emailed them about it and they responded last night. They apologized and said that they would ship the correct ones on Tuesday.. and that I could just keep the ones they sent! Yay me! I like it when people are nice about their mistakes instead of getting all huffy and defensive.
My aunt got their electricity back on about an hour ago.. making it almost exactly a week without it. My cousin called soon afterwards because his computer "isn't coming on". I didn't talk to him about it so I don't know the details, but.. sure doesn't sound good, does it? *giggle* M told him that we would try to go up tomorrow afternoon after a birthday party for Casey (another cousin) and look at it. Hopefully, it's something easily fixed...
