I, too, wish for peace.

This morning I realized that it really wasn't just my imagination that I get less mail with Outlook than Outlook Express. Most of my mail was coming in marked as read (into various folders.. I'm a big filter fan). Or even not at all. So back I go to OE again, just as I expected I would. ;) Computers are weird.

I just had lunch. Frozen dinners were on sale at Kroger last night. (Our standard enchildadas, too, but M wouldn't let me buy many because he kept insisting that the freezer was full.. it wasn't, of course.) I often have frozen lunches, and now M doesn't eat out at work, he takes a lunch, so he's been doing that, too. Anyway, we bought a Stouffer's Lean Cuisine Roasted Potatoes and Broccoli in a Creamy Cheese Sauce. That's what I had today, and it was surprisingly good, and only 240 calories. I'm a little worried about that part, though, because I don't want to get hungry in two hours.

Ahh, well, I'll try to make this a short entry for once and go get some work done. And a hello and welcome to [livejournal.com profile] courtesy. :)

My basil is beginning to pop up over the soil. Tiny little buds, all over the top of the "pot". It's so incredibly pretty.. I would take pictures, but the "pot" that I'm referring to is actually an extremely ugly, oversized butter bowl, hence ruining any pictures I would take. :) I'm inordinately pleased with this, because I don't exactly have a green thumb. No, what I have is much worse for plants.. disinterest. I like flowers and plants, but I want nothing to do with their care and maintenance most of the time. It really frustrates my mother, who wants me to plant stuff all the time. And if it frustrates her, it would probably horrify Magnus's mom. She's very into pretty plants. :)

I'm listening to Swedish news radio today so I can feel like I'm studying. ;) We haven't done well at all with Swedish lessons lately. Hoping that even when I don't understand what's being said, something will soak in. At the very least, it's background noise. And every now and then George Bush pipes in in English, so I know they're talking about the war, at least..
