Kisha Goes to The Doctor.

I went to see Dr. Bob today. He spent a few minutes selling me on the idea of going to a chiropractor, then asked what my problem was. I explained my shoulder problem. He listened to me for a minute and then said, "So, when was the car wreck?" I denied that there was one at first, then finally said that I was in a fender-bender when I was 17, but I didn't think that counted. He nodded and said, "There ya go." According to him, untreated whiplash-type injuries don't fully show themselves for around eight years. He did a bunch of xrays that we'll look at on Tuesday, but without checking them out, he said the odds were about 98% that I had a neck injury. The burning wrist thing I mentioned the other day is apparently part of it. He asked me how long I'd been waking up with numb hands--which made me realize that I HAVE been waking up with numb hands.. I'd just assumed it was how I've been sleeping. I thought the showiness of asking questions like that was mildly amusing. Obviously, I've committed to seeing the guy, he doesn't have to make me think he's psychic. *giggle* But he seemed like a nice guy anyway.

Before I left, I got these electric thingies stuck to the back of my neck and shoulders and I laid on a table with a roller underneath. It felt pretty nice, if incredibly weird, but after I got up, my back started hurting. Not so good. I could also kind of feel where the problem is when the roller thing went past it.

I'm also supposed to replace my desk and seating arrangement. *sigh* I like my desk. I guess I can see how it's not good for me, and I've always known that it's not the best ergonomic configuration in the world, but still. Magnus says we should go look tonight, no point in putting it off. Perhaps he's right, but I don't think I want any of the ones from WalMart, particularly, which might mean we need to wait until tomorrow if we need to leave town to look in other places. And what in the name of little green apples are we going to do with this desk? It's not like we have space for it to just hang around the house, and I hate to get rid of it completely! I wanna go look at Ikea, too, and we don't have one within a decent driving distance, but I really do like the way their stuff looks. I have a feeling M is going to get really frustrated with me, because if I have to replace this thing, I'm going to be picky. I can feel it already.

I have absolutely nothing planned for dinner. I figure we'll either order a pizza (I almost said rent a pizza.. how silly is that?) or go out. I've been wanting to go to Pasquale's for a week or two. Need to do some grocery shopping this weekend, I suppose. Nothing more to ramble about.. I think I'll go work on my doily. I'm within like, three stitches of having the fourth round done, and I need to sew the ends in and then perhaps get started on the fifth row. It's turning out well, and I'm getting excited about it again, which I'm happy about. Wish I hadn't done it in blue, though. ;)
