Morning!

In 29 minutes, I have to be at work. I can either have breakfast, relax a little or write this entry for my adoring fans. Well, yes, I actually do realize that I technically only have one adoring fan (dear totte) but let's just humor me, okay?

I've always heard that it's better to deal with the devil you know than go scrounging in hell for another one. Adelphia is our current headache. (Cable company.) Our internet connection has been quite screwy as of late.. last night we had almost no connection at all. Our phone company now has DSL available, but I hate to switch, only to find out that it's even worse than our current connection. I don't know anyone in our area that has it, either.. cable was here first, so most of the geeks went with it. ;) Troublesome. This morning it's not a lot better.. I tried to do comments and stuff about four times yesterday but LJ is particularly susceptible to our slow connection.. it's not speedy on a good day, and if our end is slow, it's just painful. I'll try to get around to being sociable tonight or tomorrow. :)

The stupid non-working new CDROM in my computer has already put the first scratch on the new desk of the husband-type person. Argh. I hate it when things like that happen. The first desk we bought him was crumpled in two spots when we got it home.. he was going to keep it because he didn't feel like taking it apart again, but luckily, we found the second desk, which inspired him to take the first one back. He tends to be somewhat careless with his furniture, though, so I guess it was asking too much for it to remain flawless. He does some mandolin work on his desk, for instance.

I've never been a huge fan of quizzes, but naturally, I couldn't resist the What Kind of Nerd Are You? quiz. ( Read more... )

I'm going to have to go find something for breakfast or I'll be starving by 9.. I really hate eating in the mornings, though. Eeek! I'm gonna be late! *zoom*
