Technically a little late to write an update of the weekend's goals, but today was a holiday (Memorial Day) and so neither of us had to work, therefore it's still the weekend. I'm sure that I could have worked, but I figure Dad thought he'd be pushing it since M and I worked yesterday. :)

Anyway, on Thursday, I said that I wanted to do updates for a client, send a couple of emails, check on the immigration process, work on my tatting, cut hubby's hair, bake something and make CDs. Well. Three out of eight isn't too bad, right? ;) I got the updates done on Friday, and you'll all be glad to know that it turned out very well, all worrying being the usual exercise in futility. I also cut M's hair and checked on our immigration status. We need to file for removal of conditions on June 14. I also learned, cheerily enough, that if they don't do their paperwork quickly enough, Magnus can be deported! You're not allowed to file any earlier than 90 days before the two-year anniversary of the greencard interview, but yet, if they don't get around to it before then, that's our fault. I just love how federal agencies work. The chances are pretty low of this happening, though, so I'm not going to worry about it too much. I checked out the BCIS website (that would be the INS with a new, fancy name) to make sure that the form we have is still correct, and it wasn't, of course. The fees for submitting the form have also raised to $145. Figures. Eh, well, as long as it works out, I'm not going to complain. We're going to need to make at least one trip to Louisville, which sucks--especially since we're going to have to do the "take a number" thing. Their queues make even my Swede ill.

As for the rest of that stuff.. oh, well. It'll get done eventually, and at least I still think about it all as something that needs done! We got up feeling productive and made a huge ToDo list on the board. Two hours later, we were bored with it all and deciding not to bother. We took a nice nap in the afternoon.. which, on retrospect, was stupid as it's now nearing midnight and we're not sleepy. Not even me, and I'm always sleepy! I also spent a ridiculous amount of time sorting string and clearing out shuttles. I've decided that life is too short to worry about wasting a few yards of string or the time it takes to turn what's left on the shuttle into a small little bitty thing that I don't want.

This post turned out much longer than expected, particularly as I didn't rant about the INS. Oh, well, I'll save it for another day. Oooh, wanna hear something nifty? Magnus can apply for citizenship next September. :) It always felt so far away when we talked about it before.. now it's just over a year from now. Anyway, night night. Have to go to bed even if I'm not sleepy because I have to work tomorrow. This work thing is really overrated. ;)
