How dumb are you if you go to a chiropractor for an ongoing neck problem then come home and do a headstand?! Apparently, you are precisely as stupid as I am. What the heck was I thinking? I remembered it just as I was sticking my legs in the air--too late, in any case. I could definitely feel that it was wrong, and now my silly neck is not feeling so great.

My dad called tonight to invite us up to watch home videos with Whitley. Not just any home video, but The Kisha's Cheerleading one. This is the only video that's been pulled out and watched on multiple occasions. I was about seven at the time and seemed to have no idea that the point of the thing was to NOT fall down. I fell on my butt, I fell on my head, I fell on my side, I fell forward, I fell backwards, I fell while jumping up and down on my own, I fell while doing cartwheels, I fell while doing cheers. In short, I was one clumsy little girl. I suppose that hasn't gone away entirely, but that's neither here nor there. I am, at least, capable of functioning now without throwing myself dramatically onto my head. I fell in spectacular ways, which sent us all into gales of laughter and provoking tears in at least two of us. I can't imagine how I escaped lasting injury. Or perhaps that's where my neck trouble began! ;) That is, of course, what prompted the headstand. Whitley was doing a bunch of little flips and stuff, and since we were talking about headstands, I thought I'd see if I could still do it. (I can, btw, although I can't maintain it as long as I used to be able to.)

It's beginning to seem that M will be steadily employed for at least another week after this one. He's scheduled to go to Louisville on Wednesday.. we don't think they'd send him to a convention the day before firing him. And he also has two sales deals in the air, so they'd want to wait until he's done with thtose. Perhaps June 12. We still think it'll be a Thursday. But.. regardless of how much we've talked about this.. no one really knows if there are plans to fire anyone else. I think i twould be extrememly ill-tempered to fire Magnus, actually, because he's been working there three months and a week. His original terms were that the training would last three months.. so if they're giving up on his position just three months into it, then they have problems anyway.

Now I'm literally falling asleep in my chair, so I think it's time to go to bed and see what tomorrow brings. Gnight!
