I think I might have reminded Magnus why he married me earlier. He went out to work on the car. When he came back inside, the house smelled of zucchini bread and lasagna. (If you've never had zucchini bread, btw, it doesn't taste like zucchini.. it's a sweet dessert bread. Similar to banana nut, only without the bananas.) Actually, that makes a cute little story, but it's not true. I could barely boil water when he married me, so I'm relatively sure that he didn't marry me for my cooking skills. I could make spaghetti and a few other dishes, but I certainly couldn't
cook in the way that I can now. We started watching FoodTV, though, and then cooking gradually became somewhat of a hobby. If I'm doing something new and exciting, I tend to look forward to it all day. It's rather perverse, really. I've missed it the last couple of weeks when I've been all working and stuff.
*laugh* Magnus is talking to his best friend on ICQ, and they both have
MetaSpy running in the background. Yes, bigger dorks you will never meet. (It shows what people are searching for right then and automatically refreshes every 15 seconds.) Anyway, M went to
Metacrawler and is compulsively searching for "Tomas Lindblad naked pictures" over and over, waiting for him to notice. I've gotten it twice (yes, I'm a dork too), but apparently Blatt hasn't noticed it yet. And as a bonus, in a few weeks, my journal is going to be the number one result if someone searches for porn starring him. *laugh* Very nice. Uh oh. Now he's working on payback. Wonder what he'll come up with? *giggle*
We went out for lunch (La Finca's) and then grocery shopping. We stopped in at Mullin's.. a small, old and rather dinky grocery store that's going out of business. I frankly can't imagine how it's lasted this long, but the guy that owns it wanted to retire. They're having a 30% off sale.. everything in the store. They were rather high to begin with, so mostly, 30% off means that they're now comparable to Kroger. There were a couple of things that made it worthwhile, though--beer and olive oil. I like bargain shopping. Although we failed in a couple of things and ended up paying more than we would have if we'd waited. It's easier to feel better about that, though, in a small town. Oh, speaking of which.. I ranted a while back about Nationwide Insurance forcing two restaraunts out of business.. you'll be glad to know that it didn't succeed and all is well.
I just sneezed while listening to Anna Begins. It made Magnus giggle and smile at me. (Everytime she sneezes I believe it's love..) Anyway, it's time for me to go put the lasagna in the oven and perhaps work on a design thingie. I'm beginning to have twinges of desire for a layout change for our homepage.. it needs work anyway. I'm extraordinarily fond of the brown one, though. I don't know why. It's very brown.
