Pictures and web stuff.
Aug. 9th, 2003 09:51 pmMy husband is now officially More American Than I Am. The boy actually bought a box of frozen deep-fried mac-n-cheese. He fixed some tonight, claiming they were "so good!" I really couldn't see trying them.. they smelled horrible. I just thought it was funny.
I worked for a little while at the store today so Magnus and Dad could come get my old desk and put it together behind the register. I'm very very excited about that.. obviously. There's not a whole lot that would make me volunteer to work if I didn't have to. :) Dad actually mentioned an internet connection, too, so it's not completely out of the question, at least. Might be able to arrange some connectivity, actually. I feel a little pathetic for caring so much about being away from my computer. ;) It's not like this will turn into a desk job or anything.. it's just comforting to have nearby!

paradisecowgirl, I've spent my Saturday playing with pictures. She had a link to Gallery. It occured to me that I might as well get going on fixing our pictures, and why not just use this one since I had it right in front of me? ;) (I don't really enjoy the looking for things. I like the installing, the fiddling, the tweaking, but I hate searching for just the right script.) It helped that it really seemed quite nice.
So.. for now, what I'm saying is that the pictures section of our homepage has been replaced by two albums. One for me and one for M. I'm not entirely sure how the structure will turn out, but for now, it's just sort of photobloggy. I'll drop the old MT photoblogs (will try to get around to changing past links) and just post stuff to my new album. This is actually good, because it means that I might actually do that, and I certainly wasn't getting around to updating months worth of random pictures. This way, I won't have to worry about people having a hard time with logging in, or with Google indexing things I really don't want people to find, etc.
And furthermore, getting this done means that I can finally take off an item on our todo list that's been there for at least seven or eight months. *laugh*
