Busy busy bee
Jun. 9th, 2004 10:58 pmShould I go to bed or should I write about my day before going to bed, even though morning will come very early? G just left. She came over to see the apartment after the furniture was put in place, and we had a delightful (on our end, at least!) time talking with her about many things--including you folks, to some degree. Also, the future of modern housing in the eighties. We had an impromptu tatting lesson, as well. ;) So, we had a pleasant evening.
We also went to Lexington just after work to ask about getting M's family tree thing framed. We were given it by his parents at our wedding, but we have been sorely negligent about getting it framed. It's really big.. approximately 17.5 inches by 32.5 inches. I don't think we're going to do it right now, though.. they want a bloody fortune. *long pause* Scratch that. I just decided now, and convinced M of the rightness of it, that we should just do it and get it over with. It's not like it's ever going to be any cheaper, so it's not like it matters if we do it now or later. M's task for tomorrow is to call around and talk to a few more places to see what the pricing will be at other places. There's a 60% off sale at Garden Ridge this weekend, which will make it around $150. That's pretty high, but I guess it'll be worth it.. and there's always the chance someone else will do it for less. We did really like the frame that we picked out there, at least.
Oh, and we got two rebate checks from our car insurance company for a total savings of $45.52. Apparently, turning 25 is profitable. Yay!
