Life

I should definitely try to be more reliable with writing. I've been quite busy lately, but in an extremely uninteresting sort of way. I've cleared out a good deal of two very long to-do lists. There have been more things than usual irritating me lately, so I've been working fairly hard on getting rid of some of them. I think that often, it's not the big things in life that really bother you, it's all the little things at once.. like.. the pile of tapes that needed labelled and rewound and put away, the stack of bills that need paid and corresponding paperwork that needs filed, the buttons that needs sewn on, the cluttered Start menu that needs sorted. That kind of thing, and lately, there have been so many of those that I've felt rather claustrophobic. Luckily, the good thing about it is that that kind of thing is usually rather quick to accomplish once you actually get started on them.

We spent two hours driving around looking at houses today. That was about as much of an outing as I could handle.. I woke up feeling kind of crummy. We found one neighborhood that we liked but with no houses visibly for sale, but two houses that were quite cute and definitely for sale. A bit more expensive than ideal, but nice from the outside at least. It's beginning to feel silly paying rent when we could be making a house payment for less. We haven't officially started house-hunting on an official basis.. no realtor or loan approval or anything, but we think that's coming up pretty soon--like, as soon as we can manage to not be at work during those hours. We've been making lots of big plans and stuff this weekend, and generally feeling like Life is pretty exciting and a little scary. It's been absolutely fantastic to finally have a real weekend together. We're both too co-dependent to function well on our own without some quality time. :)
