Short Notes.
Dec. 20th, 2004 10:14 pm1. It is really, really cold. Really. And someone at work apparently forgot to turn the heater up to compensate for the cold, for it was disgustingly chilly in the office all day. I spent most of the morning with my coat covering my lap and wearing a long-sleeved shirt over my long-sleeved shirt. I had a blanket in the car that I thought about going to get, but it was much too cold to go outside without a good reason. Supposed to be warmer tomorrow so hopefully I'll be a little more comfortable.
2. I accomplished nothing Christmas-related today, even though I really, really meant to.
3. M has been particularly nice to me the past two days, even though he has been sickly. He claims there is no ulterior motive for the niceness, too, which is a bonus.
4. I have 52 minute lunches for the next three weeks, and I get off at 4:22 instead of 4:30 during that time. I really, really like those days (though not enough to go back to them full-time and lose my day off every other week.) AND I never have to be at work an hour early, either.
5. M and Blatt and I played Betapet the other night online. (Basically, Scrabble in Swedish.) I lost, of course, but I was doing much better than when we started. It was interestingly timed since I had just remarked to M earlier that day that we needed to get back to practicing my lapsing Swedish skills, and then Blatt suggested to M that we all play later that night, completely out of the blue. It was fun, too.
6. Bedtime comes so early. Blah!
7. But the good news is... my hair had an excellent day.. always an unexpected pleasure when it happens.
