Merry Christmas!

I got off work a couple of hours early (YAY!) and now we've done the last-minute WalMart fruit-basket run. Yes, I bought fruit and a basket and put it together myself.. don't you think it would be terribly embarrasing for an ex-produce-peddler to buy a (*shudder*) ready-made fruit basket?! I'm not real happy with the fruit basket as a present, but sometimes you just have to let it go and stop worrying about it because certain people are just absolutely impossible to buy for. Especially if you don't order the one good idea you've had in four years for them in time for it to arrive.

Anyway, I don't really have time for the aforementioned fun post of things I forgot to say last night because I have to get us ready to go. We're headed to the parents tonight, and won't be home until Saturday evening, probably.. so no more updates until then. It would be much easier to go spend the night with them if they would just get internet access. My husband is out being Super Photographer as we speak, so I'm going to have to take the initiative and start packing. Everything is covered in half an inch of ice, and the sun is shining, so he couldn't resist going back out (second time today!) to try again. The neighbors, believe me, are looking at him like he is freaking INSANE. And maybe he is. I like him that way, though. I also need to put together the cookie dough.. we'll bake them at my parents but I am strangely relunctant to give up the cookie-baking this year even though it is jätte-inconvenient.
