Saturdays are nice days.
Apr. 9th, 2005 10:49 pmI seem to have caught myself a cold. A garden-variety, common cold to round this out into two full weeks of being sick, which really just follows a week of a half-break, which followed a week of being sick, which came just weeks after a cold, which came weeks after the flu. Am I not the unluckiest person you've ever met? Oh, nevermind. I really don't want to talk about it. *sneeze*
That boy I live with came up with a most excellent plan today. See, I have had his book on my Project ToDo list for.. well.. months. I'm supposed to be editing it, but I have been procrastinating like mad because a) I really am busy sometimes b) it's very hard to edit your husband's stuff c) I have already edited this part of it in a previous incarnation so it feels like something I've already done (but it has been revised since then so I haven't) d) I know most of the plot of the parts I haven't read and e) I am lazy and I put things off. So, anyway. I've been making slow progress, but I worked on it a little while yesterday. Today, M said that he would do housework while I edit. Therefore--I read his book with my pink Sharpie (ultra fine point, like a stick, not a triangle.. long story) at hand, and he cleans the bathrooms and vacuums. We both win! He even scrubbed the shower.. (The only problem here is that I am on page 49 of 227, Times New Roman 8. How clean does one bathroom need to be?)
Darnit, I just read M's post, and he's written about everything we've done today (and he made the previous book-editing deal sound a little less nice, at that!) and now I don't know what else to say. I guess I'll go kill some meanie Orcsies instead. If you like real-time strategy games at all, you should try playing the Lord of the Rings - Battle for Middle Earth. It's fun. Also, kind of addictive. So, I must go. Play game. Now. Bye.
